Help! Where do I find Sybase Mobile SDK in SAP Download Centre?

In SAP Download Centre on Service Marketplace, under Sybase Unwired Platform, is the Server runtime.  Can't locate the Mobile SDK.  Searched under 'M', 'U', etc. but couldn't find it.  Anyone know where it is?

Prashant,  Sybase Mobile SDK is now listed as a product in Service Marketplace at the same level as Sybase Unwired Platform.

Go to:

Software Downloads > Installation & Upgrades > Browse Our Download Catalog > Sybase Products (lower right of the table) > Sybase Mobile SDK.

Hi Stan

A continuation to the same question, the challenge what we are facing is we are able to download the SMP 2.2 run time  whereas we are not able to download Mobile SDK! what exactly we need to download the Mobile SDK as well.

Stan,

Thanks for your reply.  Yes, I finally found Sybase Mobile SDK at the same level as Sybase Unwired Platform in the PAM.  It does not, however, figure in the list of products in swdc.

Further, when requesting for a ramp-up of SUP 2.2, the request form only has "Sybase Unwired Platform 2.2".  On approval, the download links enabled are only for the Server Run-time component.  There is no apparent way to either request for or download the Mobile SDK.

There seem to be some inconsistencies here in the way different components of service marketplace treat different products.  To add to the confusion, I believe that till some time back the server and SDK were bundled together as a single package.

Hi Srinivas,  to be honest, SMP 2.2 is still in Ramp Up, and there seems to not be great authorization control on how/if it can be accessed in Service Marketplace.  Unless you are with an existing Ramp Up customer, I would remain with the 2.1.3 version until SMP 2.2 is Generally Available.

Prashant,

Yes, as I understand it, there was an issue with handling Ramp Up versions in SPDC, which is why it is in SMP only.  I will check with the manufacturing team to see whether something additional should be done for the SDK.  However, unless you are with an existing Ramp Up customer, I would remain with the 2.1.3 version until SMP 2.2 is Generally Available.

Got some clarity on this issue.  Apparently, the license required for SDK is a different one from the license required for the server run-time.  The SDK is listed as a separate product in the PAM, that's right, but the download links shows up only if you have a license.

This is a bit strange, considering we now have the server but not the SDK.  Further, again apparently, this is something new from 2.2 onwards, as we didn't face this problem for 2.1.3 or below.  Strange world!

Thanks Prashant for this clarity.

We were also facing the same issue as we dont the developer licenses.

We are having the Runtime licenses only.

So i guess we need to apply for the Enterprise/Personal Developer licenses. Right?

Shrikant.

Dear Prashant,

To Download the Sybase Mobile SDK 2.2. Use the following link.

I  have also tried to search the Sybase Mobile SDK in Download center  but no luck

It seems that, now SDK is not going to available with Sybase Unwired Platform bundle.

Use the below link to download the Sybase Mobile SDK 2.2

Hi Prashant,

Mobile SDK is bundled with the Sybase Unwired Platform package, which can be downloaded from here: https://websmp105.sap-ag.de/~form/handler?_APP=00200682500000001943&_EVENT=SWDC_ALIAS&TMPL=INTRO_SWD...

under 'U'.

Suhas,

Thanks for your response.  However, I don't find the SDK installables in the download package.  The title of the package is SUP Server Run-time and indeed, after downloading, the package contains only the server component.  I've searched everywhere on Download Centre but can't find the SDK part.
