Purchasing Org assignment to User

Hi Sap Gurus,

Can anyone tell me how to assign purchasing organization and purchasing group to a User in organization structure. we are on sap srm 7.0

and also how to change or transfer the vendor group of an vendor in vendor organization..

Hi Sanjay,

It depends on your SRM structure design, however if you want to make a P.grop responsible for a user i.e. specific P.group and P.Org. to be picked in shopping cart.

2 ways to achieve this

1. If you assign a product category to P.group responsibility tab, then when users creates SC for that product category P.group and concerned P.Org will be picked automatically.

2. Also, if you want this control further down, In responsibility tab of required purchasing group, along with the product category you can also enter user's Org object id under Organizationl Responsibility or User's Position.

So that under the Org unit ID, or with the specified potion whenever a SC is raised, particular p.grop will be picked and P.Org will be picked automatically.
