if you want to trigger PR, PO for consignment fill-up you just need to maintain a BANS in your material item category group. then assign item category in VOV4 with KB saty. BANS in your item category group and KBN your item category.

you also need to maintain changes in your schedule line category with movement type 631 and your PO order type in vov6 and make sure your saty KB is linked with your schedule line category.

by doing these settings you can trigger PR in your consignment fill-up order and through which you can create Purchase order

Hi Experts ,

I vouch that there is nothing in standard which do same .

But can we manipulate the consignment item category and assign requirement class to trigger PR , PO process ? What do you suggest ?

Do you think it would be issue ?

By standard normal PR and PO process can be done just by running MRP. You can discuss with your MM speciaslist on it. But receiving goods as consignment inventory using third party drop shipment is not possible.

2. And where is the problem with "  But receiving goods as consignment inventory using third party drop shipment is not possible .

- Then this is standard third party process. You can follow this process.Once the goods are received at your organization, you can use consignment fill-up order.

2. And where is the problem with "  But receiving goods as consignment inventory using third party drop shipment is not possible .

What I meant was ,creating a consignment fill-up order, which triggers third party drop shipment to deliver to customer plant as customer consignment inventory is NOT possible.

Hi Friend,

As advised third party sales order lines and or a third part sub-contract order lines are linked directly to the sales order. These are are end to end process linked to sales order lines with no inventory transaction. In configuration the COS is posted when the Vendor invoice is received. Consignment process is very different process it simply changes the stock status of your valuated inventory to a lending file. Therefore the two process are not compatible. My suggestion is develop a Purchasing process to have your inventory delivered directly to the customer from the Vendor using modified Account Account assignment category as a Flag or Key to trigger alternative delivery address. Then write a report to extract the details with this key to create KB orders in SD.
Also note that for Third party the item category is TAS and For consignment KBN.
