BI query wizard connection problem with backend?

Hi folks,

I am new to VC development please help in the following scenario

what i am trying to do is that connecting BW server using BI Query Wizard but it gives error saying " <b>fialed to conect backend system , check your system defination and user privilege </b>

menu path: BI -> BW web API connection ->

i tried to connect from portal to BW using transaction iview it works fine , i have EP 6.0 patch 9 and BW 3.5 installed

please let me know whether i need to do some other setting on portal or BW side.
