problem with importing configarchive file..

hi , i created configuration xml files for new resource types manulally and creted a configarchive file. i tried to import this configarchive file to EP with import/export component. import works fine,creates backup and some other reports..but i couldn't see these types in EP global services. can any know if iam missing anything..

iam working on EP6 sp2.
