Hi,

i'm not sure i fully understand your question but i will try to answer.

1. you need to check that your current LDAP product (what you call EP-5 LDAP) can be used for windows authentication.

2. if so, you need to define your LDAP in the EP6 (under system configuration), please make sure your LDAP is supported.

3. you need to configure your EP6 for windows authentication (see link http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/a4/385bef3bd14241b9c4f36bd779537d/frameset.htm)

Hi Nitzan,

Thanks for ur reply,

But I dont want to use my LDAP on EP-6. I'll be using ADS for this. So can u tell me is this possible? .

if yes, how can I migrate my Users from LDAP to ADS(Active Directory Services). Thank you.

hello sirisha,

I presume you are using Novell LDAP server as an EP5 LDAP. you can export users in the form of a .ldif file and import them into the ADS. But here you would loose your user password info and usermapping as the schema has changed in EP6. This would be an LDAP migration project before before the EP migration project.

cheers

Hi,

1.Do u mean to Migrate user from LDAP to ADS first and then carry on with EP migration?

2.Do ADS of windows 2000 server support .ldif format?

But thing is we r going to migrate EP first and then the User migration process. Is this wrong?

can u tel me any docs regarding this import and export of users?

Thanks a lot for ur reply,

Sirisha.
