Dynamic Selections in WDA

Hello, I'm investigating how to best port the concept of "Dynamic Selections for LDB" to Web Dynpro for ABAP.

The feature is documented here.

I have a few reports which use Logical Databases, and are currently reached by SAP GUI, but I have to convert them to WDA. Which is the best course of action? Does the framework by SAP provide any out-of-the-box component for this requirement? Do you have any advice?

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

In case if requirement is to convert the SAP GUI reports to WDABAP as it is without change in any

functionality, then its good to make them Web enabled by using ITS which in turn can be easily used

in Webdynpro ..

Thanks,

Nandi.

Thank you for the reminder, Nandi, I've tagged your answer as helpful.

I know that the requirement could be fulfilled with ITS, but this solution uses the Web GUI, not Web Dynpros for ABAP.

As a consultant, I have to assess any pros and cons (feasibility, development time, performance...) of the WDA porting, so that I can suggest how to best take care of the requirement, but let the customer make the final and reasoned choice.

Hi Giuseppe,

See if this document by Thomas Jung is helpful to you. It provides a solution for recreating the flexibility of the SE16 data browser in WDA.

Cheers,
Amy
