Upgrade Inventory Valuation Logs

Hi All,

Currently I'm trying to upgrade one of our clients backup database to SAP Business One version 8.82 PL07 from 2007 version. But were having a difficulty because it takes too long to upgrade the Inventory Valuation Logs, we already tried to shrink the log file but still it takes too long.

Does anyone knows about this?

Regards,

Lean

HI John Lean cajefe

Can you explain your server Configuration .While upgrading from 2007 to 8.82 you will be facing this problem it takes almost half an hour to Hour for this  Inventory Valuation Logs.so dont worry increase your RAM to 20 GB and Hard disk to 1TB with RAID 5 Configuration with OS Windows Server 2008 R2

Install sql server 2008 R2 and install server tools and server with client and upgrade now .It will be upgraded to 8.82 based up on your DB Size .

Hi Lean,

Prior to upgrade, you must check if the customer systems are ready for upgrade.

You can use RSP to do that. The check result will give you good info that can be used in the preparation before upgrade

This is usualy a long step and more inventory transactions you have more long will be the process.

I think the only way is to wait to complete this operation

I have the same problem with a client, it takes too long over by this table (OIVL). The entire migration process takes about 216 hours!!

the client wants to kill me by the time the process and I have no other choice, I shrink the database went down to zero the parameter history / log in general setting, the database has no tables or user fields but their size 120GB is approx.
