Delivery splitted by EXNUM

I’m creating a delivery in background through VL10B but the system is splitting due the EXNUM field. Can someone explain how this number for foreign data is defined? Each delivery is created with a different number. It is used for what purpose?

I found the reason. The order combination indicator was not checkmarked in the customer master data in the seller sales organization.

unexpected delivery splits, one the most difficult thing to analyze in SAP.

I hope you have read OSS Note 546668 - FAQ: Delivery split when creating deliveries

Unfortunately there are over a hundred more OSS notes if you search by delivery split in LE area only. Some are really fixing errors that are not found by the ZLE_ANALYZE_DELIVERY_SPLIT report

the EXNUM field is the link to the export data records from EIKP and EIPO tables.

a SAP employee explains in that discussion http://scn.sap.com/thread/1659138

that the difference of EXNUM field is a result of the split and not the root cause. And I agree upon that statement.

Do you use a shipping point and route with hours and minutes instead of just days ?

then the second item may just be created seconds after the first and could potentially cause this split.

Do you see 2 schedule lines the delivery schedule tab in the PO for that item?

      tks Jurgen.

Yes I saw that note before.

I check the header data on LIKP and all the information match except the EXNUM and total weight. Also check the info in EKKO are the same. I have one schedule line for each material with different STO schedule agreements.

      Tks

    Hi Eduardo,

Please check the copy control setting in VTLA(Sales Order to Delivery). As this is a PO-Del scenario.

Please take the default order assigned to Replenishment delivery type you are using..  Then check in VTLA for specifc item category.. You have determination of export data setting there.

Please check, if it is set to be redetermine everytime or just copy from the previous document. I guess, it would be re-determine everytime.

but just try to play with that and check if it consolidates the delivery

Please let us know the outcome.

    Regards

    Dhilipan.
