Hi
I've implemented the OSS note "965176 - Creation of inbound delivery during two-step stock transfers". It is working fine except when I have the outbound delivery created with packing and HU and I don't have this requirement in the inbound delivery. So I just want to have the inbound delivery created without packing and handling unit information. Can I do that?
We are on SAPKH60408
Thank you
Eduardo Chagas
The inbound delivery is created with packing material. once I delete it I can post the GR. Anyone no how to avoid to create the inbound delivery without the packing material?
tks

Hello Eduardo,
Just a query. Do you have shipment created before PGI of the delivery?
If yes, i believe the HU details would have been transferred to the shipment for packing at Shipment level. I guess in your case, Shipment is not created before PGI?
Because, i had used Note 591860 in my system. Where we control Inb. delivery creation with entries in table ZSTO_TVLMZ.
So, in our case we had issues where the HU were not available in the Inb.delivery created because they were moved to the Shipment. Hence Inb. delivery was created without HUs copied from the corresponding Out. delivery.
Thanks

You might review this is the OSS note:-
When the inbound delivery is created, Handling Units (HUs) are only transferred from the outbound delivery if either the lean HU status update or unique number assignment are active for handling units. You can find the relevant settings in the Implementation Guide under "Logistics Execution -> Service Parts Management (SPM) -> Cross-Process Settings -> Handling Unit Management -> Set Lean HU Status Update in Non-unique HU Numbering Scenario". You should only activate unique numbering if you want to use Handling Unit Management. Otherwise, use the lean HU status update. If HU management is active, the status and the history of the handling unit are updated, but there is no check to see if the handling unit number is unique.

Hi Dhilipan
We post goods issue after shippment creation. The process we are doing is...
1. Create the delivery through VL10B
2. Enter into the delivery and packing the material
3. Create the shippment and add the delivery
4. Post the good issue through the shippment
Once we post the goods issue the system creates the inbound delivery automatically and add one more line item with the packing material.

Hi Waza
Thanks Waza. Yes I've reviewed the oss note and make the system is configured as mentioned in the oss note. I removed those check box in order to do not have the HU transferred to the inbound delivery and guess what? The routine transferred the HU to the inbound delivery!!!
Thanks

Hi Eduardo,
I tried one stupid thing . Not sure if that would work. It didn't work in my system as i am nt using OSS Note#965176 which you have implemented.
I am using Note#591860 in my system. So what i did was, removed the packing control in the Inbound delivery item category.
Just made the Packing control in my Inb. delivery item category to "B"- Cannot be packed. Just to check, if the HUs are not being transferred if this is the setting in the Inb. delivery item category.
Unfortunately, in my case it is not creating Inb. delivery at all.
Will it be possible to try this in Sandbox of your system? I am nt sure if this would work, but just wanted to check if this can help us.
Please do let me know if i had overlooked/missed something.

Dhilipan
I've solved the issue removing the delivery item category determination for the delivery type and item category defined to the packing material used.
Logistics Execution -> Shipping -> Deliveries ->
Define Item Category Determination in Deliveries
After this change the inbound delivery is created with HU but without the packing material within the inbound delivery.
Thanks
