Hi All,
i have done IDOC to File scenario . where i have choosen basic type as delfor02. in xi server i created data types such as IDOC,DELFOR02,etc.... in this scenario i have screen shots so i done. but assume that i am using some other basic type say for example PEXR2002.
now this basic type i need to create data type which are mandatores to make mapping is it .
my question is how can i find mandatory segments for PEXR2002 or some other.
please tell me find because i just start XI.
regards,
Selva.
Hi Selva,
mandatory segments and all other IDoc documentation for a specific type can be accessed through transaction WE60 in you R/3 system (not in XI!)
Additionally if you create a mapping, XI will mark all required nodes and the required fields in red and will give you a warning as long as your mapping is incomplete (i.e. not all required fields are mapped).
Best regards
Christine

Hi Selva,
Use TA WE30, and select the IDOC Basic Type.
Click on each segment to see if the 'Mandatory Seg.' is checked.

Also rember that in R/3 application system (transaction we30 ) , while checking the occurence of segment, cardinality(min occurence and max occurence) could be 1 to many , but that doesnot mean it is mandatory, there is a check box for each segment for mandatory, if it is checked than only it is mandatory.

Hi selva,
U can test your mapping using the "test" tab. and if u' ve failed to map any of the mandatory fields, it will show a mapping incomplete error.
Also, the mandatory fields will be shown in red as said by Vishnu.

Hi Sleva,
In Msg maaping, normally the mandatory fields are in red colour. It will give error in the test run if you dont map them.
For XSLT mapping, the XSD will contain the information mandatory or not, which is "displayed" in the corresponding mapping tool.
