Dear Experts,
For last couple of weeks we are observing that for a particular T-code only the work process is going into PRIV mode, Kindly have a look on the below screenshots and suggest which parameter should be revised in order to get rid of this issue:
Screenshot 1: Memory parameters of the application server on which the WP was in PRIV mode
Screenshot 2: Memory utilization captured from SM50 for the WP which was in PRIV mode
The environment of landscape is as below:
Application server are based on Wintel x64 bit platform (all with 32 GB RAM), CI is on Mainframe with DB2.
Thanks in advance,
Sujit
Are you saying that the problem is for a dialog process, not for a background process? Instead of changing the instance profile parameters, I would try to find out why the program is using 2 gigabytes of memory. There shouldn't be many of those in the standard system, so in case it is a customer program ask the developer to fix the program.

Dear Samuli,
Many thanks for your response which is absolutely valid and yes it was only with dialog work process, indeed we did that (approached the programmer to give a fix and he did provide a change which is implemented now, the program had larger selection criterias which have been restricted ), the problem looks to be over.

Sujit

ztta/roll_extension, em/initial_size_MB.
For more info please read ztta/roll_extension: Limit for Extended Memory and Private Memory. At the same time you need to control overall memory consumption at OS level to avoid memory paging (can cause performance degradation).
