Using Messages Inside BADI

Hi

I have made a BADI call a Popup window( through FM G_POPUP_FOR_ENERING_VALUES ). Now from there i call a Custom Function Module(Search Help Exit) . I am trying to pass a Message (S) or (I) in the Function Module. I am not able to get it even after checking RECORD_TAB in the Search Help Exit. I have explicity checked if this RECORD_TAB is empty and issued a Message (S), But nothing is happening.

Can anyone help me out in this.
