Trouble with mutated vowel using mass data maintenance tool

I've updated customers in yC4C using the massdata maintenance tool.

1st: Export of selected data: The data contained strange symbols.
--> 'ü' was transformed to 'ü'
--> 'ß' was transformed to 'ß'

2nd: Import of updated and corrected (mutated vowels) data to yC4C.

Result: For names containing any mutated vowels those were replaced by '#'!

How to avoid such an issue for the future. Due to that circumstance we have a lot of manual effort to identify and correct every single dataset.

Hi,

As data is transferred as part of CSV file hence it is not supporting such characters.

Please try to use BusinessParner -->Mass Change aaccount data for this activity.

Hi Saurabh,

that's a good alternative. But in my case I had to update thousand of datasets with different value for the same field.

Hi,

In that case you can use 'All Account' button:

Else you can use "Master Data Template" from Migration tool to update the existing data from XML.It should support these characters though I haven't tested with this. Make sure you set the properties as follow:
