Hi Experts,
I am doing a odata task as follows,
as per the document while exploring the service WFSERVICE , the entity_set has error 'data provider implementation does not exist' while executing as follows. Kindly help to resolve this issue
Even I have came across same error in the browser . Data provider implementation (for deafult software version) does not exist. In transaction "activate and maintain services" , the click on "provider implementation" results in "system error : RFC destination" (refer 2nd screenshot).
Please help I am stuck here .

Hi Priyanka,
it's look like you experience a different issue, and not related to the WFService.
but as before seems a configuration issue.
Check that the system alias is configured correctly , and that the RFC destination works well.
for later version of GW you can just double click on the system alias (in the screenshot transaction)
this will take you to SM59 with the connection details, there try a connection test and a remote login test. both should success.
If not then the connection should be fixed , usually by the system admin or your basis guy

Hi Gowtham,
if the basic url
http://<host>:<port>/sap/opu/odata/IWWRK/WFSERVICE/?$format=xml
doesn't work then indeed it's mean the configuration is not well.
please ellaborate on the urls that you are trying to execute and their results
Regards
Roy

Hi Gowtham,
Goto SPRO -> SAP Netweaver -> Gateway -> OData Channel Development with iw_bep -> registration -> assign data data provider to data model
check the record for ZOM_ODC_WORKFLOW_SERVICE_0001_BE in Meta Model Identifier column

Looks like if you follow SPRO -> SAP Netweaver -> Gateway -> OData Channel Development with iw_bep -> registration -> assign data data provider to data model, you can find the Software Version for the provider implementation. I think you should enter the same Software Version value in the SAP System Alias you use for the service. However, in this case you can move past the provider missing problem, you may encounter the next issue, which is detailed in a different thread (here).
Hi Gowtham,
Please close the thread if you have resolved the issue.
I was facing the similar issue and the issue got fixed. I know its very old thread but if any of you are facing the same issue, here is the solution.
Step 1:
Check the record in SPRO -> SAP Netweaver -> Gateway -> OData Channel -> Administration -> General Settings -> Assign Data provider to Data Model for your model. As per the error Software Version is DEFAULT.
Step 2:
Make sure the Software Version is same in System Alias.
Check the record in SPRO -> SAP Netweaver -> Gateway -> OData Channel -> Configuration -> Connection Settings -> SAP NetWeaver Gateway to SAP System -> Manage SAP System Aliases.
Thanks !!
