Data transfer from CRM to MDM system

Hello experts,

I have requirement where i need to push data to MDM system from CRM.

i am totaly new to middleware functionality.

i have some question to complete my above requirement and also learn middleware functionality for future requirement.

1. can you suggest me any site or other thing where i can find proper learning matterial for middleware functionality?

2. how i push data from CRM system to MDM?

3. and what i need to do for pushing specific data not complate master data

     for eg : i want to send specific Role BP numbers not all BP number.

Please help me with.

Hi Nirgun,

You want to load master data from a SAP Remote System (R/3, ERP, CRM, SRM) into your MDM repository. You use MDM's local extractor (transaction MDM_CLNT_EXTR) for this purpose.

Hi Vaibhav,

Thanks for this links.

In above given links i am able to open only pdf file.

i followed this pdf and create varient for MDM_AUTOMATED_EXTRACTION and scheduled it for background job.

This job got cancelled with error message "GET_BUSINESS_SYSTEM_ERRORAn error occurred when determining the business sy5678"

please help me with this.

second, please let me know do we need to maintain any connection to MDM system ? if no then how data will get transfer

Hi

You have to create Source & Target system RFC in both System Section 3.2 Extraction Variant Configuration you can see Target system RFC

Before Job creation also there are few setting which you have to Create

i would suggest you anaysls dump for  Job (GET_BUSINESS_SYSTEM_ERROR) cancelled in Txn: ST22

GET_BUSINESS_SYSTEM_ERROR  error general occur due to missing Rfc connection detail

In R3 See the SM59. connection is working or not check the remote connection

Hi

You can check IDOC in Tcode we05 or WE09

By selecting you Partner Number RFC of Target/Source RFC you can check data transfer between the system.

Thanks for reply.

I am confuse after creating partner profile.

i have done following configuration steps.

1. Logical system - created RFC using SM59

2. completed port configuration we21

3. created partner profile.

i am confuse in

1. how i populate IDOC.

2. how i send this IDOC to PI system.

3. if possible please provide me any document related to IDOC management and customizing.

4. i am not be visualise senario how this whole process will be perform.i mean how i isoc get populate whenever i create new bp and how this IDOC transfer to PI system.

Kindly help me.
