Hi Daniel oluwafemi...

How you set the GL Accounts for that Item by Warehouse or ItemGroup.

You should define "Goods Clearing Account" in warehouse/item group according to which method "Set G/L Accounts By" is set.

Hope Helpful

Thank you kennedy for your response.

Our items have different brands and many model under each brand, so yes, it is by Item Group.

To define Goods clearing account means what?

Under Item Group - Set up, i have filled the empty spaces with the Goods Clearing Account code and now the message is "Item no. is missing "Group Name" (Message 173-3).

Please i need your help.

Hi Daniel. Usualy this error come out when you try to add a new Item group without the code.

For set the clearing account you need to :

  1. Identify wich item group is assigned to your item on item master data
  2. search that group on item group - set up
  3. Found the item group click  on Accounting
  4. Fill the row Goods clearing account with the account code  (For be sure the account is available click on the button on the right side of the blank space
  5. Click on update

Hope it help
