Factory calender:-Change in weekly holiday fromThursday to Sunday

Dear All,

     Recently one of our client has change his weekly holiday from Thursday to Sunday. Now need to change factory calender,my question is that is there any impact on existing production order,purchase order & any other ?

Also suggest what activity should  need to verify after change in working days.Earlier working day's were from Friday to Wednesday (Thursday is working but warning message as holiday) ,now it is going to Monday to Saturday (Sunday is working but with warning message.)

Hello Shyam -

If the changes on the factory calendar has still "going to happen", your existing POs, PRs, etc are still the same unless you perform new scheduling on them. These would impact in your capacity scheduling and delivery schedules.

Mind also if you are using planning system (e.g SCM APO especially PPDS, ewm, etc..), this might have impact on your forecast especially during the releasing of your monthly/weekly forecast.

Dear Shyam,

Changing holidays/working days is quite a regular feature of business. In PP, you will have to adjust the production order scheduling accordingly. In capacity planning table, all sundays will be shown in grey color and all thursdays will now have available capacities.

I am not sure but if the factory calendar is assigned to customer in 'invoice dates' field, it might create problems in delivery processing.
