ODS QM status

I was trying to perform initialization on ODS. Even though the ODS is configured to set the QM status green automatically, the load gave me an error saying QM STATUS MUST BE SET TO GREEN BEFORE IT IS ACTIVATED. What can I do. Thanks in advance for the help

Fran

Hi Fran,

What can you see as the QM status of this request in ODS > Manage...may be there was an error in data loading.

QM status is RED.

If i go to monitor, I see other errors in Details section also.

RED: Extraction (Message): Missing Messages

RED: Transfer (IDocs and TRFC): Errors occured.

To date, I have not been able to upload data to an ODS !!!!

So this makes it clear as to why the data could not be activated: Because the Request is in error (Red). I know I have posted this earlier, but you will need to see the source of the error:

1. details in the monitor?

2. Any dumps in BW or source?

3. Are you able to extract using RSA3?

4. Job log of the BIREQU_ job pertaining to this request in the source system?

I've checked ST22 and found no errors when I put that date of request.

ALso checked sm37. dont see anything.

I extracted using the RSA3 that same day and it had worked.

How do I check the job log of BIREQU_job ??

thanks

Fran.

From the data load monitor (for this request), on the Header Tab you will find the request number in the form of REQU_____. Copy this and paste in SM37 (source system) between * and *. Chnage the User to * too and F8.

The status is finished and its green. Does that mean it was run successfully in the source System?

What else can I check.

appreciate your help

Yes it seems to. Can you look into the job logs and scroll towards the end. It will give you details about how many packets were transferred. Are you sure that the connection with the source system is okay...it would be fine if there are other loads that are taking place successfully.

On the Details Tab of monitor, the node "transfer (idocs and trfc) is RED. But the node "processing (data package)" is green.

there are 84 data packages.

The source connection is also OK.

What else could be wrong

Hi Fran,

Check the extraction job in your source system. In SM37 of the source system check for job <request id>. The job log of this job should give the details of the error. I guess there shd be a shortdump in the source system detailing the error occured.

Sree
