Unable to filter a BEX Query for a single value in a hieararchy

Hi Experts,

We are facing an issue with many of our SAP BEX Query when we run the query filtering by a single value. We have many reports in which we filter by a hierarchy (we can choose many of them e.g Profit Center) and the we have another field in which we filter for only one record, e.g one Profit Center when we run the report in this way the repot shows an error like BRAIN (643) Value "######" for variable Profit Center is invalid.

This is happening only in two environments in which we installed a new version of SP so I think the root cause is that.

More Information:

We can run the report trought RSRT T-code and runs fine.

When we filter by a node that contains the value the reports runs fine.

seems to be there is a problem with hierarchy variables in the new SP.

Hi,

You may need to uninstall your GUI( BEx Suite) and re-install again.

To understand your Brain(643) message, you can go to RSRT->Enter your Query Name -->Click on Messages Button -->Look for Brain(643).

You may also re-generate your Query in RSRT.
