Hi,

We are planning to upgrade our ECC system to current stack level. For that we need to generate one xml file from solution manager system.

As we do not have solution manager in our landscape so we install one that solman 7.1. Now when I run the solman_setup as post installation steps sees many configuration steps. Like web service configuration, daigonistic agent installation , is those thing required to generate the xml file.

Now our priority is to generate the xml file and upgrade our ECC system we can do those like wily , web service , diagonistice agent installation later. Could anyone please guide/hint me what are the steps I have to perform.

Thank you.

Regards,

Hi,

As far as I know, you need to complete the post installation steps to generate XML file for your ECC system.

Please complete the steps that are available in the below link.

You can refer the below link to see how to generate XML file.

I hope the information helps you.

Thanks and Regards,

Hi,

In system preperation steps we have completed create user , check installation implement sap notes, select SLD, setup lmdb.

My query is that should we have to perform web service configuration , configure authentication types, connect diagonostic agent required, prepare outside discovery steps are required to perform for generating the stack xml file.

In basic configuration step also are configuration of wily , sap connect required?

Any hint / suggestion

In my opinion it is sufficient to complete the basic configuration - that's the collective note, users, SLD and LMDB setup and the sync. between SLD and LMDB. Ensure that the SLD content is up to date (note 699699). You can also run the "configure managed system" guided procedure.. however, for MOPZ you do not need to setup Wily, E2E Diagnostics, agents,.. whatever ..

You just need the system information in your SolMan LMDB. So you need to connect your ECC system to SLD (tcode RZ70). Once the data is in SLD, the sync. job creates the corresponding entires in LMDB.

Also, verify whether the AISUSER settings are correct (user mapping for downloading the files from support portal).
