CUBE vs Table

Dear BW Experts,

All things reaming same, which one is faster to query.

An Infocube or

A tranparent table with same selections and output.

For simplicity assume 6 dimensions in the Infocube

I am seeking an in general answer as I am aware the answer to such questions always "depends"
