Hi,

We have being try to send a leave request from ESS. But it says "unable to send the request".

We are on ECC and EP(SP 9). I have also made entry in table V_T554S_WEB through customising. We are trying to use WS04200009 for workflow.

Thanks for all your help.

Hi Naveen,

I hope you have maintained the relevant infotypes in the backend system.

Namely : 1, 2, 7 and 315

If it is done, the dont forget to change your workflow task settings.

Configure your workflow WS04200009 as a "General Task".

Hope this helps ...

Hi,

Have done all this. But why do you need to maintain infotype 315. That is for timesheets. Which we are not doing. We are just doing leave.

I know it is for timesheets, but even the leave applications use it, u may refer to the documentation if you want.

Maintaining infotype 315 is also important, as it defines a calender for the leave request to have valid leave dates.

Try maintaining it, hope this helps.

Hi,

I am not sure but which field of info type 315 helps you to link it to calender.

Sometimes, leave requests are linked to timesheets.

Hope you have maintained atleast the infotype 7 "Planned Working Time".

Gaurav.

Hi,

I have maintained infotype 7. Since through 7 only you link holiday calender through work sch. But I am 100% sure that you do not need 315 if you are not using timesheet.

Yep ...

You are right .. I checked it ... sorry ... i had confused 7 with 315 ...

Hmm ... maybe then its something to do with the Leave Application, with ERP2004, the webdynpro application uses WS12300111 workflow ...

Could you please check on that too ... the WF you mentioned is used by the ITS based apps ...

I am sorry for the earlier mess ... but please do check out the ERP2004 documentation on this ...

Regards,

Gaurav

P.S. The usual culprits for the error you got are:

1. V_T554S_WEB not maintained

2. WF not changed to general task

Hi,

Thanks. It works now with 12300111.

But the thing is I read that you can use 4200009 or 12300111 and also it gives option to attach any other workflow which copy of them.

Yeah ...

You are right ... basically any workflow which is a copy of WS12300111 can be used ...

But u have to do the necessary settings in SWFVISU transaction, which is the visualization transaction for workitems in Portal ...

Hope this is of some use ...
