Hello

How do u map a datasource to infosource? I mean say i have reporting req which used sales cube 0SD_03.Now How do i know that I have to map 0SD_03 to XYZ infosource?

There are so many standard infosources available with Business Content. How do i know that i have to map the DS to one of those std infosources or I have to create infosource and then map 0SD_03?

Please guide me.I am really confused about this.I am not sure how to map the DS to std infosource or to a custom infosource which i have created. If someone can tell me step by step method or forward me a document regarding the same?(except for help.sap.com), i wud be helpful.

Hello Jack

Looks like u r really confused. When u go to AWB, you can select the data inflow and see which DS is of use to u

Then u can use the datasource and infosource

Give me your mail id.I will send u a document regarding the same,

Also please assign points to the members who help u in ur answers

Thanks

Hi,

The Sales cube is 0SD_C03. You could refer to the following link on the Info-sources, Characteristics, key figures, etc..that you would need to activate.

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/09/a7b339688d2453e10000000a114084/frameset.htm

Goto RSA1 -> Business Content -> Select the objects and activate them.

Hi,

In case of standard IOs and cubes it's rather straight forward.

In RSA1-business content area select your SD cube, Choose Data inflow before option. Collected objects will show you the appropriate infosource and datasource. You can install and use them.

Best regards,

hi,

there are no clear rules here.

You have to follow business requirements of your users.

They will told you what data or information they exactly need. Then you have to think how you can deliver it. First you can check BC sources if they contain all required information (fields from tables).

If not you have to enchance BC sources or build your own - it depends on you.

e.g. Users told you that they need data from ME21N transaction (Purchase Orders). You know that PO data are stored in EKPO and EKKO tables.

You can investigate if there are any BC sources with data from that tables. If not you build generic data source...

Regards,
