Loading Time Dependent Data in SAP BI for Cost Element and Cost Center

Hi All,

We are facing an issue while loading master data for 0COSTELMNT. Each cost element has two entries with different valid to and valid from dates.

The one with valid to date 31.12.9999 has description attached to it and others do not. But in the query somehow we get only the one's without the description. Hence because of which the data looks inappropriate.

Please help me as to how I can get only those cost elements which has a valid description.

Are you using Key date in your Query? If not, please use it. Key date works on Time-dependent master data.

I have already activated the master data and also have added a key date in the query.

However, the only problem is it always reads the first value which has no description. I need to get the one with description.

Can you tell me how can we load time dependednt master data?

Did you try entering the valid Key date for the second record? Bcoz, your key date picks the data which is having the same key date in the master data tables.

Please post Dates of two records in master data.

depending on the date of the report, check if it will satisfy the Valid from-Valid to of the cost element. if cost element's valid to 12.31.9999 better check the valid from if it will satisfy the report.

Hi James,

If your loading from ECC, pls check at ecc side, something may be entered comma after the end description. as  business need we need to get description for all.

After the loading of master data, have you acted master data or have ran Attribute change run.

pls check on it.
