ArchiveLink: Document description in the attachment list

Hi Juan Pablo Barcenas,

If you remember i had asked you that the BASIS release  of my SAP system was 700 and level was 14. I wanted to implement the Archive Link GOS functionality using the Notes 1560955 and 1451769. So i imported SP 19 to the Sysytem. Now release is 700 and level is 19. I am having issues with the both the notes.

For Note 1451769,  i have implemented the manual corrections suggested in 1132699, but the correction instructions says that i need to perform changes in FM ARCHIV_CREATE_DIALOG_META. but the changes given in this instruction, that code is not present in the FM ARCHIV_CREATE_DIALOG_META in my system. What could be the reason?

I need your help in this implementation of these 2 notes.

Dear Anu,

A possible cause of this problem can be, that the mentioned function module was modified in the system within a non-standard modification.

Could you please attach the exact error message from SNOTE? And the source code of the function module from lines 160-190.

Hi Janos,

I need your help.

I need to upload an OSS Note 1451769 from tcode SNOTE(Note Assistant). I wasnt using SNOTE tcode previously.

I went to SAP portal opened the Note and downloaded the Correction
Instructions which went in the Download Basket. I used SAP Download
Manager to Download this note to my machine. The status for this
download was "Downloaded completely and successfully" from the Manager.

I went to tcode SNOTE->Goto->Upload SAP Note but i am getting the
following error;

Data file of SAP Note is incomplete
Message no. SCWN017

I couldnt find any post helpful for the above error. Also i downloaded the note again, but the same issue still persists.

Please tell me what can be the problem and the solution to this.

have you uploaded th ZIP file? As far as I know, you don't need to unpack it.

There are 2 files for each note which are downloaded at a location on my machine. One is 0001451769 (Unknown format- 60bytes) and the other is 0001451769.zip. I tried to Upload through tcode SNOTE first 0001451769 --- it gave me an error Data file of SAP Note is incomplete.

The i tried only for the zip file, it also gave me the same error Data file of SAP Note is incomplete.

Please help me. I am stuck in this since a long time.

The SAP Download Manager also says that the files have been downloaded successfully and completely. I am unable to understand where am i going wrong.

Hello Anu,

I was able to upload the one in one of our systems.

Please do the following:

- download the ZIP file: "1451769.zip" (279 kB) from SMP

- extract it to your desktop

- you'll get a file "1451769.txt"

- go to the transaction SNOTE -> menu -> Goto -> Upload SAP Note -> select the txt file (2.90 MB)

alternatively you can download it with SNOTE. In SNOTE press Ctrl+F8 -> enter note number -> execute.

I hope now you'll be able to download it. Please don't forget the manuall steps. All off them have to be managed in your system.
