Work order action log or changes doesn't show when the price is changed for non stock item

Hi Experts,

Why the price changes are not shown in the action log/changes in the work order when we change the price against the non stock item; where as if we change the price in PM02/PM03 control key operation, changes are reflecting in the action log. Any thoughts please....

Thanks

James

Action Log / Change document will reflect only the changes done in PM Order. As Non stock material price are getting changed in different document, system will not reflect this change.

That changes will show in material master and not in order. Any thing related to work order will show in work order change log.

      Adding to my reply.

However you can establish link through order.

In order menu , Extras - Document for order - Document flow here system will show Purchase requisition document. By selecting that and clicking on display you can see PR. In PR you can see Environment -Item changes.

    Greetings James,

In this case the changed document is saved against the Purchase Requisition, not the PM Order, as Maheswaran mentioned.

You can find the PReq number under Components > Purchasing Data > Actual data if it exists, then go to ME53N > Environment > Item Changes to see the changes in the price, if the Purchase Requisition exists. Otherwise, I do not believe this change in price is saved.

    James,

Not every field in the order/operation is subject to change documents.

It looks like you have found one of those..

But you can develop a solution to compare the old/new price and create a change document. This can easily be done in either user-exit IWO10009 or BADI WORKORDER_UPDATE.
