Hi All,
I do have a query regarding the Authorization check happening on BPC objects. I have an end user who is NOT supposed to be a part of BPC user base and hence has not be granted rights on the AppSet or BPC for that matter. But the same user is a valid BW user and when the user is accessing the BW system, the system is checking the authorization on BPC objects and are giving out the authorization failure mesaages.
My query in here, it is perfectly natural for the system to give these authorization messages, but is there any way I can skip/bypass these messages?
Thanks!
Regards,
Sumanth
Hi Sumanth,
What is the version of BPC NW ? 7.5? 10.0?
What is the authentication error message?

Hi Sumanth,
If the user is not a BPC user, and is a BW user, and if the user is accessing BW objects in the BW system, then this must be checked by the basis team; since, these authorization messages should not appear.
If the user is accessing normal BW objects, then the system should not check the BPC authorizations at all.
Hope this helps.

Hi Nilanjan,
I completely agree with your comments. Why the BPC authorization is checked when accessing BW objects!
I have had a discussion with the BASIS folks regarding this, but they have maintained a stand that it might be because of some setting on BPC end which is making the authorization check a default activity for all the logged in users. Unfortunately I do not recall any such settings being done or not sure whether we are allowed to do these kind of settings.

Sumanth
