Creating WebDynpro URL

I have been looking through the URL tutorial document for WebDynpro and I understand it should not be a difficulty to call a different application from WebDynpro and passing parameters.

However, my question remains, is it possible for a third party application to create a webdynpro url, concatenate a few parameters and on clicking the url , an Internet Explorer opens up and the details get passed on to the WebDynpro application, which processes the WebDynpro application based on the parameters.

For e.g. something like you have this link:

http://<servername>:<port>/webdynpro/dispatcher/local/MyComponentName/MyApplicationName?myfirstparameter=1&mysecondparameter=2

so on and so forth, and then based on the url, I read the parameters in my loading event of the application and process from there on.

Any thoughts on this is highly appreciated.

Regards,

Subramanian V.

    Hi Subramanian,

Yes this is possible. In the InterfaceView you of your WD Component you can define these paramaters in the Default InBound Plug. In this view you can declare usage of your component and then these parameters will be available in the context and then process this information as per your requirement.

For calling another web dynpro application from current aplication you refer the following tutorial.
