Batch Numbering Material Wise

Dear Expert,

could you Pl let me know how to give automatic batch numbering for diff matl with diff batch no logic at the time of goods receipt against process order.I get idea  from SDN threads that it can be possible through developement.So if possible could u pl tell the Bapis and exit which are useful with logic.I had done all the configuration req to generate batches automatic.Just want to know the logic to developed the programme to generate batches material wise.

Dear Swapnil,

In the user exit, you will easily get material no. of the prod. order. From material, you can get other details like material group, material type (MARA table) based on which you can write logic for batch no.

Discuss with developer, he will guide you.
