Remove integration to BP?

Our portal is at 7.3 EHP1, and the backend is on ECC6 EHP6 with EA-HR 607 SP1 and ERECRUIT 606 sp3.  We are having problems with internal candidates being able to apply to job postings, and it seems to be related to the Business Partner functionality.  Has anyone successfully removed the integration between the Business Partner and OM (e-Recruiting)?  We would like to 'detach' BP from e-Recruiting.

Hi Deborah,

We need the BP integration in E-Recruiting (see note 997181). Otherwise the new HR standard integration processes won't work.
