Hi,
I recently installed SAP Information Platform Services, SAP Data Services 4.1, and SAP Information Steward 4.1 on our company's Windows 2008 server where we are using SQL Sever 2008 R2 as our database. Using the CMC, I created a connection to our data store on the SQL server and can see the database and table in Data Insight within Information Steward. However, when attempting to perform column profiling as a test, I am receiving the following error:
[I] 2013-01-17 11:49:34.968 Profiling engine section. (TSK-10015)

[I] 2013-01-17 11:49:35.018 The Subtask process [subtask id=81] has finished with error: Profiling column <Bin> is not found in the profiling table schema.. (TSK-10091)

[I] 2013-01-17 11:49:35.158 [1] Subtask(s) executed with errors. (TSK-10007)
I am not sure if this means additional setup is needed in the DB. Please note that I am not a dba and to get the data into SQL server, I used the import feature and pulled in the data from a pipe delimited flat file which was exported from SAP.
Thanks,
Ken
Hello,
Try to load the table using data services.

Ken,
I am not sure what to tell you on this one. I have not seen this error nor recreate it.
Did you upgrade your IS from a prior version and this column profile was defined in the previous version? Did the schema change for that table so the columns are different than they were earlier?
I tried rigging up some data where it contained one set of columns, profiled it and then modified the structure and tried to profile the data again using the same task, but I do not get the same error you see.
Can you View Data successfully? If so, maybe you can attach screen shots of the table as it shows in the Workspace Home vs. what is displayed in View Data. Do the columns match up?
If you choose Add > Tables and select the connection where the table resides, click Imported Metadata radio button, click Re-Import, do you get a message about being used in a project/function?
Can you try profiling a different table...maybe from AdventureWorks (sample MS-SQL database) to see if it is ok and it's specific to this table?
Thanks,
Paula
