Hi Rana,

loading performance wise always need to drop index before loading to target and after the completion of load need to rebuild index(reporting purpose).

Thanks for reply,

We have alreay one seconday index on DSO , just want to create another seconday index on DSO. This DSO transfer data to CUBE.

As i have created another secondary index on DSO in dev system and now if i transport that to production, what i need to do for DSO in porduction system.

Mean do i need to re-initalized the DSO delta load, or need to drop data from CUBE and DSO and need to do full load and then delta load to DSO and CUBE.

Hi Pavneet,

You don't need to delete data for transporting this DSO with secondary index.

The existing data is just fine.

But, the subsequent load will consume additional time. But, this is the price you have to pay for creating an additional index to the DSO.

Thanks for reply,

So it mean after creating secondary index on DSO, and importing DSO to production, we dont need to do reinitialization of Delta load of DSO, dont need to delete and load again the data from DSO.

So it mean when i will import change to Production, we dont  required to do any chages to DSO.

Hi Pavneet,

Yes, there is no need to do reload of data.

While transporting your DSO with secondary index, in the target system, it just creates a new index function at the data base level, which will have no impact on the existing data.
