Basic Question on SAP CRM ( High points will be awarded )

CRM Gurus,

I'm fairly new to SAP CRM.I'm not sure if this is the correct forum to ask this question.Anyways....

Wanted to find out if there are any particular modules inside SAP CRM which are NOT internet enabled and NOT dependent on any other sub-modules of SAP CRM.

We will be analysing the CRM needs of one of our clients for integration with SAP enterprise portal. For the same we need to decide if the enterprise portal should be an internet or intranet based portal. If possible pls provide the various combination of scenarios.(internet only, intrante only, both based on the sub-modules used)

Would greatly appreciate your help.

High points will be awarded....

Thanks.

Harsha.

Harsha, this is a rather broad question and this forum is not the best area but I will try to give you some general pointers. CRM roughly provides a solution in the following 'area's':

- Marketing

- Sales

- Service

- Analytics

All of these area's someway or another involve customer interaction and therefore can (but not necesarrely) have internet dependecies or inter dependencies. In general all scenario's can be deployed by itself and interconnect at a later state. Also almost all of the CRM scenario's can be driven through the internet standalone or not. Within these 'basic' scenario's you can detail the following business requirements (this list is by no means complete):

- Marketing

- Lead Management

- Campaign Magement

- Sales

- Opportunity Management

- Internet Sales (B2B and B2C)

- Interaction Center (Inbound and Outbound)

- Service

- Service Order Management

- Complaint Management

- Customer Service and Helpdesk

- Analytics (BW Required)

- 360 degrees analysis

- Data-mining

Again these are just pointers that should be taken into consideration. More specific solutions/questions will require more in-depth information. Tiest.

Hello Harsha

I think I agree that this is perhaps not the best forum in which to ask a question like that.

To architect a solution like that for one of your clients, people would need to know a lot of information. A conversation would at least be needed. Although you can access any part of CRM through a portal (as the portal can launch different GUI's), there are many things to consider.

Perhaps you should contact your local SAP office.

Cheers
