Delta update InfoPackage dosen't extract modified data

Hi everybody,

I want to create an infocube on EKPO table (PO Items, Plan, Quantity ...).

In the SAP ERP side,I created a view on EKPO table, then I created a Delta generic data source on the view. I Specified EKPO->AEDAT as Delta Specific Field, I chose Calend day, and I put 1 in the safety interval upper unit.

In the BW side, I created an InfoPackage, I chose "Initialize data process->with data transfer" and I Excuted the InfoPackage. I checked the PSA and data was transfered as well.

I created a second Infopackage (For new/modified records) and I chose delta process.

I changed some PO items (through ME22n), and I check that the modifications was saved in the EKPO table.

Finnaly, I went to execute the second InfoPackage, and when I check the process I found that no data was retreaved, "No new data since last update"!

am I doing somethind wrong?

Thank you for your help

Hi there,

You are not doing anything wrong. Since you made the upper limit as 1, and made changes today, you'll get today's changes tomorrow when you run the delta IP. Please go through the doc below for understanding delta safety interval.

Thanks,

Ranga.

Thank's Ranga,

Yes you right, the record I modified yesterday was taken by the last infopackage execution, I made today. The problem is that on the Infocube, I found 2 entries of the record I have modified. It didnt override the first records !!!

Any suggestion would be helpful!

have you included 0aedat in you infocube? if so it will create an new entry in the cube.

but if not. you need to check if sum of the quantities for that PO is = 22  in the screenshot.

Hi Bahy,

by using Calday as delta method in generic, we can't run delta load multiple times in a day, thats draw back of Calday, if you want to use cal day, then run the delta load at end of the day/end of working hours.

Time stamp delta on generic , by using time stamp we can run delta number of times in a day.

Yes Oliver Uy, I included the 0aedat infoObject in the cube. So now can you tell me how I can correct that? and delete duplicate data ?

Hi Bahy,

In that situation, if like to continue with calday,  better to run at end of the day/end of working hours once in a day.
