I have a report where, i need to create a query filter on date object as a user prompt.
After creating the query filter on the date object , when i run the report , the prompt is giving me the option to enter time component also with the date component.
Please note that the date object is returning only date and no time component is available.
Please assist me on how to avoid the option of entering time component in the prompt.
Thank You
Hello Poonam,
You can eliminate the timestamp from the prompt when using a date object by editing the ObjectFormat.xml in XI 3.1
But the same does not take effect in 4.0. This has been identified as a bug and has been fixed in the minor version 4.1.
Please take a look at the KBA: "1741062 - Unable to remove timestamp from calendar prompt by modifying ObjectFormat.xml file on BI4.0"
Thanks,
Madhumitha

Have you tried just entering the date as filter, i also have this time as part of filter but i just ignore the time and it still works.

Hi,
What is your BO Verison?. If it is 3.1 then you can change it at Universe level.
Thanks,
