How to filter a characteristic previously in a query

Hi,

I've a multisite made of two multicube. one of the is the 0SD_C03 cube and the another one is and infocube which hasn't the 0material characteristic.

In my multicube I need that data from 0SD_C03 of the 0material characteristic would be filtered with the range [A:ZVVVVV] but I needn't include the 0material to the multicube. If I don't filter the the 0material in the multicube I'll have the sales of all the material including materials like theese: 20020, 20021, and so on (which really exist in my R/3 system). But if I include the 0material in the multicube I miss the keyfigures of the another cube of the multicube.

Therefore, I'd like to know whether it is possible to filter the 0material without including this in the multicube.

Can anybody help me?

Thanks in advance.

Regards.

Hi David,

There are two ways you can achieve this.

1. You will like this as you only need to change your query design.

2. A separate new cube with 0Material already filtered in DTP.

Sujit.

Hi,

This is my understanding.Correct me if I am wrong.

You want data for few materials(Range or Pattern) from OSD_C03.

OSD_C03 is added in Multiprovider & you want to do report on Multiprovider.

This Multiprovider have another IC which doesn't have 0MATERIAL.

Built query on multiprovider and restrict 0SD_C03 using 0INFOPROV.

Then restrict 0MATERIAL globally with your required material.

Vijay,

you have understand correctly.

Could you please give an example or more detailed information?

Hi,

Create Bex Query on Multiprovider.

You will find 0INFOPROV under Technical Dimension.

Then Filter 0MATERIAL with required values.

I am not clear that what exactly you are expecting from me.
