Hi Guys,

The document on importing the transports is very clear, but after releasing the transports from the system A, will it be directly availabe in system B to import the transports.

Or some copy commands on the UNIX sytem on which the two systems are installed has to be done from system A to system B in order for the transports to be available in system B.

And if so could anyone please let me know what files must be copied, i tried with the transport request number but did not work. Is there any other procedure am i missing. Please let me know and any help will be great use.

Thanks,'

Hi Prabs,

STMS will transport all things inside your request so that you don't have to copy anything manually from system A to system B.

If your import was succesfull it should be directly available in system B.

But if it seems that you're missing something from your system B you can check for return codes from Import History:

Hi Ville,

I released the tranports from sys A, and now i logged into sys B and over there through STMS it must be available for import.

But unfortunately i do not find my transports which i released in sys A what could be the problem.

Hi Prabs,

Did you already make the import from system A or did you just release your request? Have you look for your transport from all of the system lists (development, quality, production) from transport list you refresh the import list?

If you did import the transport from DEV to QA then the transport is already in Production system transport queue.

Did you look through from the Import History what happened to your transport? Did you also check from your system B that is the changes you made already available in system B? What kind of change you made?

Sorry so many questions but just try to figure out where your transport disappeared

Hi Ville,

I have only two systems, sysA and sysB, sysB is used for testing, and sysA for developement.

See i had a pgm and fm with two seperate transports, and i released the transports, it was successful. in se01 it displays for the trans1 completed successfully and also for trans2.

Now in sysB it is not available where should i do the imports in sysA or sysB i am confused. In sysA if i go to stms and select the for import nothing comes up.

only in sysB in stms for navigation to import it displays a number realeased transports, but the onewhich i released is not available. Is there any problem.

Or what is the issue.

Thanks,

Prabs.

Hi Prabs,

Did you figure out what could be wrong with your transports?

If you're still having problem and you use msn (messenger) check my details from my BC and add me to your msn. I can try to guide you through step-by-step with your transports.

Hi Prabs,

You're right. To import request you need to use STMS.Look through this:
