Creating/editing Universe in designer

Hello all,

I am having some issues, I can not create or edit(i.e. add/insert new tables in to universe) I receive the following error(s);

DBDriver failed to load : C:\SAP\BusinessObjects Enterprise 12.0\win32_x86\dataAccess\connectionServer\dbd_oci.dll (The specified procedure could not be found.)

when i try to edit/test my connections in  designer I get;

DBDriver failed to load : C:\SAP\BusinessObjects Enterprise 12.0\win32_x86\dataAccess\connectionServer\dbd_oci.dll (The specified procedure could not be found.) network layer is not available. (DAC0002)

I am using

Windows 7 64bit

Oracle client tools 11.2.0 32 bit

Universe Designer 12.1.0.882

BO XI 3.1

Crystal Reports 2008 rev 3

I only have this problem with Designer, crystal works

Any thoughts or advice would be very welcome, also as a side note i have uninstalled all the tools and re-installed many times since having this problem with no avail, environmental variables are correct, can connect to sql plus and net manager maps.

Hello Chris,

If you are on plain XI 3.1 without any service packs, Windows 7 is not a supported Client OS. Similarly, Oracly 11g R2 is also not supported.

Request you to go through the supported platform guide from the service market place.
