POWL for EAM

Hi all,

We have EP 7.3 with EAM bussiness packages installed, with Maintenance Technician Roles.

We have copied the standard iviews into our custom folder and created a role to launch a Maintenance Tasks iview(POWL).

We are able to display it fine... however, when we select any notification and click on the buttons such as change notification/display notification, it doesnt display the respective iviews in new window, as it generally does in the standard role/iview

It displays a error message saying "There is no iView available for system "SAP_ERP_Manufacturing": object "notification". For more information, contact your administrator."

Let me know, if theres any configuration required in the custom iview thats launched in the custom role we created.

The POWL iview normally refers to other iviews in the role structure for these operations. Looks like in your case, you missed out adding the sap_erp_** iview to your custom role structure.

Compare the standard roles provided by the BP with your custom role and add the missing iviews/folders..

The error message what you are getting is because of target iView not found for OBN. Make sure that iView is part of the role that is assigned to the user and it has business object operation assigned to it.

We implemented plant maintenance business packages and did most of the customization as per clients requirement.
