Select Dynamic Data Connection based on user group

This is my first foray into creating Business Views and I've successfully created a regular Data Connection, Data Foundation, Business Element, Business View, List of Value, and Prompt Group.

However, now I'm trying to address something that is built into our database schema. We have satellite locations that are in two different timezones, so we have two separate ODBC connections since these databases are separate. Users at the locations will only need access to the info from that specific location, so there's no need to integrate the data. Due to the different ODBC connections, I'm trying to create a Dynamic Data Connection so that reports based off the connection will point to the correct data source.

I've successfully created a Dynamic Data Connection, but every time I access the Business View that is based off of the Dynamic Data Connection, I'm prompted to pick which data connection I want to work with. I'm looking for a way to bypass this parameter prompt, or pass a value to the prompt, so that the data connection will be selected based on the user's group, or restrictions I establish (similar to 'Manage Access Restrictions' when creating universes in Designer).

Is this possible in Business View Manager or in Crystal Reports?

    Linda,

Have a look at Security profiles especially Data Security Profile applied at data foundation level.
