Material assignment in routings

Hi all,

I've created some routing groups (transaction CA01).

Now I would like to link some materials to the routings. Going in the routing header (CA02) there are 2 options (buttons):

- Material assignment

- Comp alloc

What's the diference between these 2 possibilities ?

Which one should I use ?

Hi,

     Please go through the below explanations

Material assignments: Generally after creating a routing for one material or without material, you can assign the same routing to another material also. For this purpose the material assignment option will be used.

Component allocation: This is for the allocation of the components of header material present in the BOM to the corresponding operations.
