Physical Inventory tolerance posting

Dear All,

I have mainatined 10K USD for physical inventory tolerance as mentioned below

When i try to post the difference more than above value, error appears Difference amount is too high Message No. M7777

When i try to post lesser than this amount also, same error appears.

Please advice how to solve this?

    You may get some clue if you can debug the screen where you are getting this error. Can you share the MI07 screenshot where the difference amount is seen.

    • it is not only MAXBT document tolerance which is checked.

      but MAXBT is always checked, hence it has to be equal or bigger than the item tolerance.

      if it is lower than the item level tolerance, then it does not make any sense from my point of view.

      so you can allow someone to post items with a difference up to 10000 USD, but you dont want that he posts a document which has a total difference from more than 25000 USD

      so he can clear 2 items of 10000 in one document, but not 3 with such a big difference, then it has to be posted by somebody with a higher tolerance.

    this setting does not make much sense, the value per document should be bigger than per item, at least equal.

    the F1 help text explains it:

    If a physical inventory document exceeds this tolerance, the user is not allowed to post any inventory differences for this document.
