BI Workspace - Content Linking with Dashboards

Hi,

Has anybody of you experience with BI Workspace and Content Linking.

I tried to connect a dashboard as source and a webi or crystal as target. My datasources for the source and target reports are BW Queries.

My problem is that i either get a invalid prompt message from the target report, or that my target report refreshes but does not use the clicked parameter ?!?

Can anybody help me out by either linking to a source or by just doing a short step by step guide how to pass parameters in BI Workspace for BW Queries.

I was able to pass Year values but as soon as i tried to use any characteristic prompts i got in trouble.

Hi Tammy,

Thanks for your hint. With this hint i can test the parameters with a web page module and know for sure what value woill be given to Web Intelligence. Did you try to pass parameters from Dashboards to Webi with BICS Interface. Or from Webi to Webi ?

I just want to know if somebody has used it before with BW BEx queries as datasource or if i have some restrictions with my environment.

I did not try this.  If I have time I might but we are not actively using Dashboards at this time.

Hi Henry,

I tried to access your Links but i got an error message that my "access is denied" I also tried to have a look at the rkt site, but i can only see BO Explorer accelerated version.

What kind of permission do i need to see your provided links ?

Hi,

Normally, in the SMP you should be able to see whatever you are licensed for .

it could be that some of your listings need to be updated in the SMP, register products etc.
