ST-A/PI needed for java only stack

Is ST-A/PI needed for java only stack (java portal).

In Managed Systems Configurations for as java portal systems, step 2 Check prerequisites, requests for version ST-A/PI 01N 700SOL SP0001.

Reaction of experts is different on this subject.

Looking at the component I'd say it's asking for a newer version of ST-A/PI for your Solution Manager.

Update the component on your SSM and execute the check again!

ST-API component is required by Solution Manager for most of its functionality. You need to Apply the ST-API base level Level 0 first as an Add-On in your system via SAINT. It can cover up many issues but for all functionalities of SOLMAN you need to upgrade the patch level of ST-PI/STAPI via SPAM.

Hi Rene,

ST-A/PI 01N 700SOL SP0001 is an ABAP Support Pack.

The above patch can be applied on Solution Manager Abap Stack.

For this first of all, apply the add-on ST-A/PI 01N_700SOL and then apply SP0001.

Systems xyz is a java system used as portal.

Managed System Configuration > Check Prerquisites ->

Solution Manager does not fulfill the Diagnostics prerequisites:

ERROR:

ST-A/PI 01N_700SOL is not installed

Please check SAP Note 1483508 for more information

Please download ST-A/PI 01N_700SOL from SAP Service market place. It is an add-on, so install it through saint t-code.
