Starting BPM process via VC using web service makes the initiator always WSUSER

Hi,

I have developed BPM processes and also made portal iviews to start these processes. I have used VC for all applications.

When the user fills the fields and starts the process on portal, web service of the process is initialized.

But.. Because I have imported the web service into the Visual Composer the user credentials belong to WSUSER.

So, whoever initializes the process does not change the initiator. This cause BPM Reporting inconsistent.

Did have anyone find solution for this situation so far?

What do you suggest?

Thank you!

Ali Apaydin.

Hi Ali, I have also used VC to start BPM processes and there was definitely no need to preset the user credentials to a single technical user.  It is fine to start the processes using the logon ticket option. I'd suggest you start by using the NetWeaver Administrator to check the security and authentication options on your BPM Processes and likewise on the Destination Templates you have used to call the BPM Processes from VC.  And of course make sure your users are assigned an appropriate role to let them trigger the process as per my blog

Hey!

Thank you, Jocelyn!

I even forgot, I set user credentials in early setups for destination templates..

Logon ticket solved my problem.

Thanks.
