does this work at the WM level as well?

I understand how to do the 309 movement at IM level. How do we do this at the WM level so that we see the correct batch in the correct bin?

I would recommend a WM training as this question seems that the basic concepts are not known. reading help.sap.com documentation is also a good start.

WM is a sub to IM, the only thing you can do independently from IM is to transfer goods from storage bin A to storage bin B.

Anything else has usually its origin in a IM movement. You do your 309 in IM and get either a transfer request or a posting change notice depending on your customizing. And this has then to be converted into a TO which need to be confirmed when it is done.

So you either missed a step in your process or your WM consultant missed some customizing if you didn't get the TR or PCN.

Just complementing the answer above: The same way on IM level you have material documents formalizing the transfer, to have inventory moved in WM level you need a Transfer Order (LT03 Transaction). That will actually move the material inventory you see on LS26.
