New allowed field wont show when creating new condition table

Hello fellas. I need to create a new condition table using the field VLAUFK (Val.period.category). I went to the "Allowed fields " configuration and added it to the catalog. But, to may dismay, when I go create the new condition table the field does not appear on the list. Yes, I have used page down to scroll all the way down. What am I missing here? Is there something else I need to do to make the field appear on the list?

Thanks,

Edson

Edson,

First check, which structure you are trying to append this field.

Say, if this field is relevant for header, you might have appended this to Item Structure or

Therefore, recognising & choosing a correct structure to append is critical step while adding new field in field catalog.

Hi Jyoti. Thanks for your reply. I don't know what you mean, when I add a field to the catalog there is no option of structure. I simply went to SPRO-->Sales and Distribution-->Basic Functions-->Pricing-->Pricing Control-->Define Condition Tables-->Conditions: Allowed fields and added the field VLAUFK. Is there another step that I missed?

See, based on your requirement, you have to make sure that the fields are added to relevant communication structure. If it is Item relevant data then it is KOMP(use INCLUDE KOMPAZ & userexit USEREXIT_PRICING_PREPARE_TKOMP).

Similarly, for header data, it would be KOMK(use INCLUDE KOMPAZ & userexit USEREXIT_PRICING_PREPARE_TKOMK) for Header data.

Further, clarification/understanding please refer SAP Note 531835.

Fantastic Jyoti, thanks alot. Your explanation and the SAP Note were exactly what I needed. I'll be passing the information to our ABAPers for implementation.
