BW transport question

I've a techincal question concerning object transport in BW system. If I have activated something, e.g. an InfoCube, in Development system, what will be its status if it is transported to Quality/Production system? Do I need to activate it again in the Quality/Production system? It will be great if any of you can help... thanks...
