Thank Abdul.

I found the issue. the price being pulled in came from RIN1 and since it is a service credit memo the field was blank.

Thank you all for your input.

Am i to assume that troubleshooting the service form is the same process as the item forms?

I have a service for that will not populate with the correct price and qantity. how do i go about troubleshooting for the issue?

Hi Stephanie A. Saintil

  • Item – to create a purchasing document for items defined in the Inventory module.
  • Service – to create a purchasing document for a service, such as a one-time consultation, that has not been defined as an Item in SAP Business One.

The table view on this tab is different for each option.

Including both items and services in the same sales document is not possible. However, you can define the respective services as items in SAP Business One. You then can enter the related items and services in one document along with their respective prices and quantities. It is possible to run the usual sales analysis and reports on these services.

Hope Helpful

Hi,

For selecting the form, advise the user to select item/service type before creating documents.

Thanks & Regards,

Hi,

Item type document is usually the most common form so that user can select item to buy and or sell. Service type document is different. It can be used to handle all other transactions without item definition. All service or some expenses are always changing in contents. They cant be set as item. Therefore Item type is not proper for them.

Thanks,

Gordon

Can I prevent the users from switching to service form?

You may use Stored Procedure to block those wrong posting. However, switching form is not block-able.
